Teaching Redefined

Our Internship came to an end by 26th August, 2022 It was indeed a sorrow full period for us. We are really going to miss these love and sense of responsibility

Onam Vibes  As We begin our this week the whole school is entwined with onam Celebration aura. Students were busy planning Onam dance, song and other performance items. Then there was a day exclusively for Teachers Onam Celebration At this point we B. Ed trainees were the judges. The teachers and the trainees had a great time

We were all getting a little bit tight with our schedule as the school was planning to conducting numerous program.  I was able to conduct my students' Achievement Test School conducted a Rally on Independence Day And our endless Morning, Noon, Meal distribution and Evening duties  continued

As days continued we felt more comfortable and and we had a feeling that we belonged to that school.  Soon our focus was on completing our LP as our school teachers will start their observation sessions soon.

Our teaching practice session began from 13th July, 2022 @ St. Mary's HSS Pattom. The first week was really tiring as we had a few issues with our seating arrangements and substitution works. But as the day passed we felt very ease and was really happy. When we reached the school they were having mid-term exam and the teachers and students were busy with the exam. They assigned some of us with question paper distribution, collection and invigilation.

My practical session for teaching practice took place.. i given half an hour (10:30 to11 am) We were allotted St. Goretties HSS School, Nalanchira  Then I went to college as I had my first Viva Voce. Everything went well 

The main purpose of this work was to create an interest and understanding of the lesson The Last Leaf 🌿 by O. Henry

A Conscientization Program was conducted on the topic Addiction

31st August 2021 After our onam break our S2 classes resumed.  Our first session was handled by Ancy ma'am. She didn't teach anything, but was asking us about exam and our holidays. She made us recollect our past topics. Next hour was with Giby ma'am.  Our principal sir joined the meet. He welcomed us with a story. Giby ma'am continued with her class and we covered the topic Cognitive function.  Finally we had a session with George sir.. And he taught us Surya Namaskara 

So our here comes our; 1. S1 internal exam 2. S1 University exam  3. Onam Holidays  In general almost 60 days went in rush.  Internal exam was conducted in online mode. We were asked to write and then upload our answers.  University exam came and a few papers were OK.. There were many unprepared questions and Iam worried about those exams and then came onam holidays. 

18th June 2021 Our first session was taken by Giby teacher. With a prayer we began our S2 journey. Ma'am taught us on the topic  Sensation.  Then we had our Optional class and Meekha ma'am taught us in detail on writing lesson plan. Last session was taken by Maya ma'am and she continued with what we were learning yesterday (Dravidean Culture) And now.. Taking a small break 

16th June 2021 Today officially our 2nd Sem classes began. Our classes began by 8:30am.  Our first hour was optional and Meekha ma'am introduced our new syllabus and the concerned activities, assignments, etc that we need to do in this Sem. Our second hour was taken up by Joju sir and he too shared the semester topics and gave a brief introduction on the topic " Assessment ". Our 3rd hour was handled by Ancy ma'am and she shared topics that ma'am will be teaching us.  17th June 2021  Our first hour was taken by Maya ma'am and she gave us the details about the topics ma'am going to teach.  Maya ma'am also began her class and she taught us the paper " Education in Indian Society"   Next hour was taken by Ancy ma'am and started our 1st topic " Individual Difference ". The final hour was handled by Joju sir and continued from where he stopped in the previous class.

So our 1st semester MCQ test was began. It was of the order ; 7th - Philosophy  8th - Psychology  9th - Technology  10th - Methodology  11th - Pedagogy  For me the exams were a bit of mixed feeling. I couldn't prepare as I wanted as iam a mother to a 9 month old baby. But it was OK I got marks between 14 to 18 for this exam. But.. Its OK..  Anyway.. Thank Got its all over  Now I need to prepare for my internal and external exam. 

28th May 2021 First hour was handled by Joju sir and we continued with the seminar presentation.  By 11 am the Media club conducted their inaugural function.  The interactive session with the chief guest  Dr. Asha Jeevan Satyan  was the highlight.  Thought I personally know Asha chechi, I could not talk to her. She is my old student Ashby's elder sister. 31st May 2021  Today our 1st session was handled by Meekha ma'am and she asked us to write a lesson plan after viewing a video record from Victors channel. At 11am the Health club's inaugural function. It was a refreshing programme. The chief guest of today's session was  Anand Narayan  Sir who enlighted us about  the happiness project.  He even taught us a few yoga techniques for stress release and for better health. The programme came to an end with sir singing a beautiful song 

26th May 2021 * "AIKYA" * Sharp at 10 we opened our Google platform and was all set for the inaugural function of our Social Science Association. The event began with an animated video representing the pandamic situation. Then came another video reminding us about the Covid protocols. And with that the function began.  Our chief guest was the main attraction Trivandrum's Mayor Arya Rajendran. Her message to the students was the best thing.. Instead of aiming to become a doctor or engineer, every person should try to become a good human being.  Principal sir then released the logo and graced the occasion with his speech.  The program came to an end with our National Anthem. 27th May 2021 Our day started with Meekha ma'am class and we discussed on Revised Taxonomy.  Ma'am then talked about the crisis we are dealing and asked us to be more careful.  Next came Joju sir and we discussed about our upcoming internal exam and the pending seminars...
